The origin
A stone found in only one place on Earth
In the Bahoruco mountains, in the south of the Dominican Republic, lies a mine unlike any other on the planet. From it emerges larimar — a sky-blue pectolite gem found nowhere else on Earth.
Its white veins and its shades, from the palest blue to deep turquoise, hold the Caribbean Sea in a single fragment of stone. Every piece is unique. Every pattern, unrepeatable. Every colour, its own.

ALMARE — from Alfonsina and the sea ("mar"). A name that carries the brand's origin and soul in every syllable. Registered in Switzerland.

I am Alfonsina. Dominican. Diplomat. A woman who has learned that the deepest roots are the ones that let you grow the tallest.
I have lived in Geneva for years, working at the heart of the United Nations. And yet I always carry the Dominican Republic with me — in the way I speak, in the way I care for people, in the way I see the world.
ALMARE was born from that double identity: European rigour and elegance, and the vibrant, generous soul of the Caribbean. It is my way of honouring where I come from while building what I want to leave behind.
